CF wins two MCA Awards for health strategy work

Healthcare consultancy CF has won two MCA Awards for projects on chronic kidney disease and long-term NHS planning in South West London.

The company received the Best Use of Thought Leadership award for its work with Boehringer Ingelheim and the Strategy award for its work with NHS South West London Integrated Care Board (ICB).

The winners were announced at the Management Consultancies Association (MCA) Awards 2026 at London’s Grosvenor Hotel.

CF has now been recognised as a winner or highly commended at the awards for nine consecutive years.

Its project with Boehringer Ingelheim involved developing a national case for change on chronic kidney disease (CKD) in England, a condition affecting more than seven million people.

The analysis found that CKD is linked to 11 per cent of cardiovascular deaths and identified stark, deprivation-driven inequalities in diagnosis and treatment.

CF’s modelling found that earlier identification and treatment on a large scale could save more than 6,000 lives a year.

A case study in Greater Manchester showed how the national findings could inform local healthcare commissioning decisions.

The second award recognised CF’s work with NHS South West London ICB on a clinically led, 10-year strategy covering 1.9 million residents across six London boroughs.

Using its Health Strata population segmentation tool, which groups populations to support healthcare planning, CF identified more than £1.2bn in opportunities across organisations responsible for commissioning and delivering care.

The plan is projected to prevent 28,000 people from developing a serious health condition, reduce the number of hospital beds required by 17 per cent and move the healthcare system from a significant financial deficit to a surplus by 2035/36.

All five acute hospital trusts in South West London have since adopted the forecasts as the basis for their own strategic planning.

Hannah Farrar, chief executive and founder of CF, said: “We are delighted to win in both categories, and we share these awards with our clients.

“Our work with Boehringer Ingelheim brought the scale of chronic kidney disease, and the inequalities within it, into clear view.

“In South West London, the ICB and Trusts now have a shared plan for the next decade and the tools to keep it current. Both reflect what we care about most: evidence that leads to action and to better health for people. Thank you to our teams, our clients, the judges and the MCA.”

The awards come as CF expands its operations and invests in new data platforms to strengthen its analytical capabilities.

Following its full launch in Saudi Arabia in 2025, the company is expanding into Ireland and exploring a new base in northern England.

CF is also recruiting staff and supporting clients with NHS system transformation, financial and performance improvement, growth for health investors and faster adoption of healthcare innovation by life sciences companies.
