Neko Health has raised US$700m to fund its first US expansion, new clinics and further development of its preventative health tech.

The Series C round follows a US$260m Series B in January 2025.

Founded by Spotify’s Daniel Ek and Hjalmar Nilsonne, Neko Health offers a 60-minute scan designed to help people understand and act on their health.

Nilsonne, co-founder and chief executive of Neko Health, said: “With this round, we’re taking our mission to the US for the first time, while continuing to invest in the research and technology that make prevention possible at scale.

“The clearest proof is in our members: the vast majority of our members return after their first scan, and when they do, their health markers move in the right direction.”

The non-invasive, radiation-free assessment uses sensors and blood analysis to capture millions of health data points.

Results are delivered on site within minutes and discussed in person with a medical professional.

Non-invasive means the scan does not involve surgery or instruments entering the body, while radiation-free means it does not use X-rays or similar imaging radiation.

The scan costs £299 in the UK and 2,750 SEK in Sweden.

It checks skin health, including moles and marks, alongside biomarkers linked to pre-diabetes risk, blood abnormalities, metabolic syndrome, stroke and heart attack.

The Series C round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and co-led by O.G. Venture Partners.

Existing investors Atomico, General Catalyst and Lakestar also participated, alongside new backers including Liberty City Ventures, Positive Sum and BDT & MSD.

Bejul Somaia, global partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, said: “Over the past eighteen months, Neko Health has demonstrated remarkable innovation and growth, attacking one of the largest markets in the world with breakthrough technology, proven consumer demand, and a clear path to global scale.

“We believe this is one of the most important healthcare companies of our generation, and we’re proud to deepen our partnership as they continue to reimagine prevention.”
