iAM Compliant launches iAM Medical to safely manage pupil healthcare

iAM Compliant, a provider of compliance and estates management platforms, has announced the launch of iAM Medical, a new feature designed to help schools and multi-academy trusts manage pupil healthcare information, medication and medical incidents in one secure digital environment.

Now available to all customers and new iAM Compliant customers within the iAM Compliant Advanced platform, the iAM Medical feature gives authorised staff access to a central digital health profile for each pupil.

It also provides a medical register, medication administration records, expiry alerts, parent communications and a dashboard view of healthcare compliance across school or trust locations.

Luke Pargeter, CEO at iAM Compliant, said: “Medical information is often distributed across paper files, spreadsheets, email correspondence and individual staff knowledge.

“This can make it difficult for school leaders to establish whether records are current, whether medication and healthcare documents have been reviewed, and whether staff can access the right information at the right time.”

iAM Medical provides a single, trusted source of information while helping schools strengthen operational oversight and reduce avoidable administrative work.

By connecting with existing pupil information, the feature helps schools avoid maintaining fragmented paper records while reducing the need for duplicate data entry.

This will enable schools and trusts to:

  • View current and historical medical conditions, medication and healthcare documentation in one place
  • Record scheduled and ad hoc medication administration, including skipped doses and the reason for non-administration
  • Receive alerts when medication, Individual Healthcare Plans and other health-related documents are approaching expiry or have expired
  • Notify parents or carers about relevant medical conditions and medication events, where appropriate
  • Print key medical information for emergency responders when digital access is unavailable or impractical
  • Monitor healthcare compliance across individual schools and wider trust estates
  • Maintain a clearer audit trail of medical activity, supporting safeguarding, accountability and continuity of care

Lauren Deighton, product owner at iAM Compliant, said: “When designing the iAM Medical feature, our core focus was removing the operational friction schools face daily.

“By connecting digital health profiles directly with Wonde MIS integration and automated expiry alerts, we are giving staff immediate, life-saving visibility while cutting down hours of administrative paperwork.”

The launch also supports iAM Compliant’s wider approach to building a culture of safety across schools and trusts. iAM Medical sits alongside iAM Academy’s Incidents CPD course collection, helping organisations combine the systems used to manage compliance with training that supports staff confidence and competence when responding to incidents.

Luke Pargeter, CEO at iAM Compliant, said: “Keeping pupils safe is the absolute foundation of every school’s duty of care.

“We built iAM Medical because schools and trusts told us how overwhelming manual medication tracking and fragmented health records had become.

“This launch isn’t just about software; it’s about giving leaders total confidence that their pupils are protected and their staff are fully supported.”

iAM Medical has already been live with a group of early-adopter schools and trusts since the beginning of September.
