Health Tech World is excited to reveal the shortlist for the 2026 Most Improved Patient Outcomes award.
The award is one of eight to feature at Health Tech World’s forth annual awards event.
The category celebrates the health tech solutions that have made the most significant measurable impact on improving patient outcomes.
It recognises innovations that have demonstrably enhanced patient health, safety, experience, or quality of life through effective use of technology.

Most Improved Patient Outcomes Shortlist

CADDIE, Odin Vision’s real-time cloud AI (now part of Olysense – Olympus’ Intelligent Endoscopy System), has made a measurable improvement to colorectal cancer detection during colonoscopy.
In the EAGLE trial, published in Nature Digital Medicine, it delivered a 7.3 per cent absolute increase in disease detection and a 230 per cent relative increase in hard-to-detect sessile serrated lesions, the flat, subtle lesions most likely to become cancer.
Because a 1 per cent rise in early detection is linked to a 3 per cent reduction in colorectal cancer risk, this is a direct, evidence-based improvement in patient outcomes, now recommended by NICE for use in the NHS as cost-effective and scalable to the millions of patients Olympus reaches worldwide.

Metadvice’s AI-powered software platform helps clinicians manage patients better and faster, enhancing preventative care and ensuring improved medical outcomes.
Metadvice is improving patient outcomes by helping NHS primary-care teams identify and act on gaps in cardiovascular, renal and metabolic care.
In a 12-month evaluation at Ball Tree Surgery, 76 per cent of patients receiving a lipid-lowering medication change reduced their non-HDL cholesterol, with an average reduction of 18.9 per cent.
In a separate prospective NHS evaluation, lipid therapy success reached 71 per cent when Metadvice was consulted before a treatment change, compared with 62% without its use, demonstrating measurable improvement in the delivery and effectiveness of evidence-based care.

Modality Partnership and GOQii have developed a digitally enabled, human-supported health coaching model combining personalised technology, coaching and clinical oversight to improve outcomes for people living with long-term conditions.
Early evidence demonstrates improvements in clinical indicators, wellbeing, confidence and self-management, alongside emerging reductions in healthcare utilisation.
Now deployed across eight Modality divisions, the model demonstrates how scalable digital health solutions can support more proactive, preventative and equitable care.
