FINN Partners, one of the world’s largest independent communications and public affairs firms, has recruited Jeffrey L. Sturchio, a leading figure in international health policy, as a senior adviser to its Global Health Practice.
Sturchio will sit within the firm’s Health Policy and Impact Group, working alongside managing partner Mark Chataway on efforts to advise governments, multilateral bodies, pharmaceutical companies, foundations and NGOs on global health issues.
“Organisations today face an increasingly complex environment where scientific innovation and clinical evidence alone are not enough,” Sturchio said.
“Success depends on trusted relationships, thoughtful policy and meaningful collaboration. I have known and partnered with Mark Chataway for decades and have seen firsthand the exceptional team he has built.

Sturchio’s CV spans senior roles at pharmaceutical giant Merck, the Global Health Council, consultancy Rabin Martin and the advocacy group Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, TB and Malaria.

Over several decades he has been involved in shaping health policy debates and building partnerships across the public and private sectors.
He holds fellowships and affiliations with the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Council on Foreign Relations and the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
Announcing the appointment, FINN Partners said Sturchio’s arrival would bolster a team already working across more than 100 countries on issues ranging from vaccine confidence to access to medicines.
Chataway welcomed the appointment.

The Health Policy and Impact Group was previously known as Hyderus before joining FINN Partners’ Global Health Practice, which is chaired by Gil Bashe and led by managing partner Fern Lazar.
The group has run initiatives including a journalism training programme aimed at improving health reporting across Africa, and a network connecting prominent voices in the sector to discuss emerging policy issues.
